The Institute for Technology in Health Care is actively seeking passionate, diverse, and committed directors to serve on our nonprofit executive board. The ITHC has $22 million in current assets and seeks to award 5% each year.
You have an interest in the Institute’s mission.
You can commit to investing time working with your board colleagues to identify and secure the financial resources and partnerships necessary to advance the mission.
You can commit to spending time working with your board colleagues to review award applications in a collaborative team environment.
Individual executive board members are expected to:
Serve as active ambassadors for the organization.
Leverage professional and personal connections, networks, and resources to benefit the organization’s fundraising and reputational standing.
Give a meaningful personal financial contribution.
Prepare for, attend, and actively engage in board meetings.
Participate in one or more committees.
The Institute’s board members serve one-year terms. This is a non-compensatory, volunteer role.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the Institute’s mission. Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Extensive professional experience at the executive leadership level with accomplishments in business, government, philanthropy, or the nonprofit sector.
A commitment to and understanding of ITHC’s awards program.
A natural affinity for cultivating relationships and building excitement and consensus among diverse individuals.
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for using existing technologies as a solution to health care problems.
Experience with cultural anthropology, clinical engineering and/or Central & South America would be pluses as would experience with law, finance, the medical arena, and grants giving.
