HIV Health Care

ithc hiv health careThe utilization of computers and similarly related technology to benefit health care so that providers can perform with greater accuracy in HIV care is much needed today.

Projects that have utilized such applications of technology in clinical settings need to be encouraged and made known to the treating community, through presentations to peer groups, papers, and other innovative means utilizing crossover of technology from one field to another.

The Institute has been particularly interested in benefiting patients with HIV/AIDS since the disease was first known.

Submissions are encouraged by any accredited community organization such as a school, medical clinic, or non-profit agency.

2006 Awards

The 2006 award was given to the George Washington University HIV/AIDS Institute, Washington, DC for a seminar series of continuing medical education programs in 2007 focusing on the use of technology for better diagnosis and treatment management of patients. This series is designed for physicians, nurses, and other health care practitioners.

2007 Awards

The 2007 award was a renewal to the George Washington University HIV/AIDS Institute, Washington, DC to continue wih the continuing medical education programs in 2008.  This series is designed for physicians, nurses, and other health care practitioners.
